The Museum, Archaeological Institute of Kashihara, Nara Prefecture

A facility that exhibits ancient Nara artifacts and allows visitors to learn more about history through archaeological discoveries

The museum mainly exhibits materials excavated from ruins in Nara Prefecture, where the ancient capital was located. In addition to the permanent exhibition "Archaeology of Yamato," it also holds special exhibitions twice a year, in spring and autumn, and in summer it holds an exhibition of the latest results of excavation surveys, "Digging Up Yamato."
Please come and visit us as we have facilities such as a video library, information corner, and resting room that you can use free of charge. Please note that eating is not permitted inside the building.
