Kinpusenji Temple

Founded by En no Gyoja, a mountain ascetic, the temple's magnificent architecture and sacred space are a sight to behold.

The Zao Hall of Kinpusenji Temple is a symbol of Mount Yoshino. It was founded by En no Gyoja, a mountain ascetic. The current building was completed during the Azuchi-Momoyama period. It has been designated a national treasure and its solemn presence is intimidating.

*During the period when the secret Buddha statue is on display, you will need to show your pass and pay an admission fee of 800 yen.
*Please use the Yoshinoyama Tourist Parking Lot or a nearby paid parking lot.
