Introduction of Attractions
Murouji Temple
Murouji Temple is a historic temple located in Uda City, Nara Prefecture, and its beautiful five-story pagoda and Buddhist statues are particularly noteworthy.
Unlike Mount Koya, which was previously forbidden for women to visit, Muroji Temple has always welcomed women as its pilgrimage site. The temple grounds are home to many Buddhist statues and pagodas that are national treasures and important cultural properties, and the smallest outdoor five-story pagoda in Japan, a national treasure, is the symbol of Murouji Temple.
